Every time I try to read or watch an article, in a few seconds it returns to their Home Screen. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but that doesn’t help. The link to WTAE support doesn’t have a good contact.

Just updated for the most recent version but stories still close and return to mainstream before you can read the entire story.

I gave tried to address this under App Support but it doesn’t take me anywhere useful. This App has been crashing constantly for over a month. I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. What gives?

I enjoy getting my news through WTAE, however every time I use the app it crashes & closes.

This app has gone downhill with too many ads and paid for content; I came for the news not advertiser stories.

I love this great source of news from Pittsburgh. They always have great news/breaking news and much more. Even the weather forecast is more accurate, it’s better than KDKA CBS News Pittsburgh, and WPXI Channel 11 News.

Seriously I could live with the 2-3 you used to have but seriously 12? That’s ridiculous!!

The app worked fine until the update 3 weeks ago. Rather than fix bugs, now my app won’t scroll past a certain point, nor does it fully support portrait mode anymore. Just half the page shows up, with dark space around it. Horrible app now. Disgusted because this is the way I get my news.

I can only scroll part way down the page then the app freezes. I see that others are complaining of the same problem. Please fix this bug!!

I loved this app but recently it started to only let me read a few articles. Very frustrating! I even deleted the app and tried again several days later. Please fix whatever is causing this

It stopped scrolling and freezes the app on the home page now on my iPad. I assume there was a recent update because this is a new issue. I deleted and reinstalled the app but it still doesn’t work right.

Easy to access and information is updated continuously.

I grew up with the channel 4 news it was the only news station my parents would watch. They have the most accurate news and weather reports that I have found. When Joe said it would you knew what to expect with the weather and the new weather team is just as good as Joe was. I love everything about channel 4 news. Keep up the good work. 👍

Notified them twice on their contact bug problems and still doesn’t work! Deleted app and installed kdka app!

I am no longer able to view articles on my ipad. I can see the first sentence of each section but then it runs off the right side of the page and there is no slide to see the right side of the page

It’s apparently not a news app as much as it is a way to get you to watch the news broadcast. To worried about the commercials! Don’t care if you want to see /read for your self

Too much Pittsburgh cheering and Democratic leaning.

Not bad, but the sensationalism in news broadcasting is so out of control, I don’t actually watch the newscasts, I just look at alerts and read what interests me. Just give us facts, don’t sensationalize. 😞view

I love this app. I’m able to watch the news from my phone and get breathing news updates, as well.

Compared to other TV station apps, WTAE is nothing special. Hard to get the newscast. Difficult to find stories. Very disappointing as WTAE was always my favorite TV station. I actually get my weather radar from WINK news in Florida.

I can remember when I first got the App it would load every time. Lately it just will not load period, why because you need to update the app on your end. You fix the issues I will give you FIVE STARS. Not happy with not able to get the News because it will not load so I can see the News.

This app doesn’t always work. It will show you the ads then NO NEWS appears. Guess I’ll just have to find a new place to get my news

I used to read all the news via your app but now you can’t check out the news without a news clip playing. So much for attempting to silently check the news. I’m going to check out other Pittsburgh news sources and see if they assault you with audio. I tried to search your app to see if I can adjust it to not play news clips to no avail.

Your app doesn’t work. It just keeps spinning and spinning. I’m very disappointed!!

You should be able to minimize the screen and make it full-size without having to restart the app. The app should allow you to watch the previous broadcast if there isn’t a current live broadcast. Live videos should have sound I shouldn’t have to sit here and wonder if something is broken.

I do not like that as soon as I open the videos start right away. If I want to hear the ads and actually see the video I will open!! That’s the way it use to be

I used to like having this app on my phone. Then corona virus happened. I’ve had enough of it now because I get on average 5 daily updates in vaccines and the virus. Enough is enough.

Your weather section is the best of all the local news apps. High school sports are also covered here the best. However, your general news stories will end mid-sentence and there is no way to finish the story. That makes me go to other news apps, that provide the entire story.

Need to get better with updating stories some stories down lower on the page stay there for days and even weeks

Stop putting that watch live news

Most of the time you have the same stuff on for weeks. I really enjoy 4 news on television but app needs improvement for change. Sponsors the same week after week about stupid horses for one example. Please change up and modify every three days instead of weeks. Look into KDKA app news changes regularlY. PLEASE UPDATE MSKE CHANGES.

Love the news but the app is frustrating. Is disappears if you go to another function and you have to start ALL OVER from the beginning of the newscast. Other apps don’t do that. It’s VERY frustrating

WtAE is the mouth piece for the Democratic Party It is so slanted you can’t really call it news. It is mostly opinion of the news and the opinion only goes one way. Words such as “conservatives falsely claim” are the norm and the left gets slobbering coverage. I used to be a very loyal WTAE listener but aside from the app on my phone I never watch that station for anything. You should change your name to Democratic News Network. Biden, or more correctly his handlers Harris and Obama are dismantling this once great nation with their Marxist agenda. You asked for an opinion so here it is. Too bad I can’t talk to someone in person to give examples at length. When I have called the station in the past I get a recording Hotfudge1945

I’m not real happy with app. So many pop ups takes me awhile to see the story. Have been trying to update app to see if that will fix it but won’t update

9 ads just to watch the weather report!!!! Ridiculous. I can understand having 1 or 2 ads to help pay for everything. But 9 ads, come on. Plus you can’t even swipe to go back to the previous page. This app seems 10 years outdated.

I watch the morning news every morning while getting ready for work. Almost every morning when there is a break the news doesn’t come back on, it just sit idle with the logo and never returns to the news. The only way to get the news back is go out vine back in and start over. That’s usually when I go to a different station. Let’s make it more professional and less like story time. So many times things are partially repeated every time it switches to a new subject. So aggravating. Very hard to understand with today’s technology that wtae doesn’t find a solution. I have noticed CBS and ABC does not have that issue.

A plethora of circuitous commercialism with a dearth of desirable news.

Local news okay; superficial national stories that tow the company line like any good member of the “state media”.

We have watched channel 4 news since the 70’s they have all the up to date every day news and weather I have compared the weather forecast with other and channel 4 gives the best weather forecast coming our way
