WTAE Pittsburgh's Action News4 App Reviews

I think your app is terrible. You have a lot of news on there that is three to five weeks old or older. There often are misspellings that occur in the articles that are supposed to be written by professional journalist. The boss named Chuck that voices his opinion that wears the suit, should be more concerned about the business end of WTA E instead of worrying about whats politically correct.

I am so disgusted with the firing of Wendy Bell that I have stopped watching WTAE altogether, even the network programming. I have truly discovered that the other 2 Pittsburgh stations are really professional & more newsworthy. Thank you for doing me this favor after 30+ years!!!

As an independent contractor who travels often to sites in SouthWestern PA and WV, Im always informed as to whats going on in Pgh! As soon as I hear "the ding", I know its newsworthy! Great app - keep it going!

I am deleting this app and have stopped watching WTAE news because of your treatment of Wendy Bell. WTAE management and Hearst Television should be ashamed.

This app does a poor job of streaming. Then what can be expected of a management who fires Wendy Bell

I dont like staying up for the 11pm news, so I visit the app and catch the weather from the 6 oclock broadcast.

The old app design was better. The same stories appear repeatedly as you scroll down...

Dont use this app much anymore or watch your channel. Shocked that you let Wendy go. What camaraderie she had with the other newscasters..miss her a lot; punishment too severe. Discontent in Toronto, OH

I dont care about your app and I no longer watch channel 4 since some spineless exec fired Wendy Bell.

The app is ok, but often an alert over the phone does not coincide with reading the story in the app. Its annoying. Dont send me an alert until you have info. But now the app must go. If your company cant stand up and here the truth and act on it but helping Pittsburgh, then you are a negative influence in my life and I must let you go.

This new design is bad. Main screen is vague and the story titles repeat themselves over and over as you scroll down. Not an improvement on the old version. Alerts sent to phone before app posts story.

I like the wtae app. The alerts are good concise and informative . I like the weather app and the traffic function as well

WTAE ... Your app works as poorly as your management does. You not only lost a good employee but you also lost many viewers after the unjust firing of Wendy Bell. She will survive and thrive ... WTAE ratings will not.

Channel 11 news app as far less commercials

I hate that you have to watch the same commercial EVERY TIME you try to watch a clip and the music that plays before the clip is god awful!!! Even turned way down it grabs everyone In the rooms attention!! I wish the comments were still there oh wait WTAE recently too the freedom of speech away!! Cant wait til Wendy Bell goes to WPXI or KDKA!! Will definetly be dumping this app and deleting WTAE from auto record 6 times a day!!!

IMHO I think the app needs to allow you to zoom in to pictures, and lose the 412 thingy. Its annoying. I get theres a steeler dancing on a show. Do I have to see it every time I open the app? Also when watching videos, the app loads a commercial and proceeds to crash. Then I try to watch again, and yep, another commercial. While Im at it, I might see a couple articles Im interested in, click one, read it, and back out to read another and it refreshes and the story is gone. It would be nice to customize what kind of stories you want to see, then I could block that 412 junk.

Too much nonsense in this app. Repeating of the same articles and what is up with so much 412? I liked the older app format better. The news reporting in that app was better as well.

Too many ads. It is actually hard to find and read the news between the ads banners and fluff pieces.

Reliable..... Love the weather reports enclosed in the app...., also one of the top news agencies in town. Enjoy the "real" personalities!
