WTAE Pittsburgh's Action News4 App Reviews

Out of the 3 local news apps WTAE is by far the worst...one annoying worthless piece of news after another. Hell they make the National Inquirer look the New York Times....only thing they did right this year was dump that pompous Wendy Bell

Wake up AMERICA Politicians have destroyed our country is all they care about is themselves. A politician only looks out for a politician we the people have very little if any power. The only way to make change is not to vote for a politician.

Too many ads. It is actually hard to find and read the news between the ads banners and fluff pieces.

I only use this all to get basic info for pgh. The sponsored pop-up ads are annoying and many articles come (cut and pasted) from Fox News and CNN. If I wanted national news, Id use their app.

I do not like your app at all. I think it is terrible. There are way to many alerts . I no longer watch channel 4 news due to the firing of Wendy Bell. You fired me when you fired her. What cowards, shame on the management at channel 4. Now I will get back to David and Peggy. No interest in your newscast at all.

I am not a TV person and usually get my news from online sources. This is Great because I can all thats going on locally all in one place. Love It!

The same news stays on the app for weeks. The pop up adds are annoying. This used to be my favorite news related app. Now I rarely click the icon on my phone. You have done so much better in the past. What happened?!?!?!?!

I dont like the ads. Content not updated frequently enough. Refresh doesnt update content. Did I mention i dont like the ads in the middle of my story list. One ad banner at the top is ENOUGH.

I am deleting this app of the loud ads continued ‼️

Terrible. Cant find all stories...notifications that u blow my phone up with are not found anywhere. Why do u have to cram a 15-30 second ad for every video, just to watch a news story? awful! awful!! I GUESS ITS ALL ABOUT $, HUH

Dont really care for the new format it was more user friendly the way it was! I find myself wanting to remove it from my phone! The commercials and ads load quickly and the actual news takes for ever to load even when connected to a hot spot, wish I was able to read more of the stories than to have to wait for a video to load and even after watching the commercial the video wont play

Cant read any news story unless you listen to an advertisement. Very frustrating.

Previous version was much more user friendly, I liked it. This version is an App for ads with a side of news. Hope youre making lots of money with it because your not making lots of viewers in my opinion. Signed, Thanks Anyway!

Way too many ads. And, too liberal. I think, it would be better to just report the facts, and let the readers make up their own minds.

Wait. Whoever made the marketing decision to go to this route should be fired.

Many problems. Sometimes when I get a News alert and I click on it it takes me to the app but the new story is not there. Way too many ads and too long. Video crashes a lot. WPXI App is much smoother and works much better and is updated more frequently.

Love WTAE! Their news is fast and on point. My favorite anchor is Kelly Frey. She always has a positive attitude and is a great start to my morning.

I think your app is terrible. You have a lot of news on there that is three to five weeks old or older. There often are misspellings that occur in the articles that are supposed to be written by professional journalist. The boss named Chuck that voices his opinion that wears the suit, should be more concerned about the business end of WTA E instead of worrying about whats politically correct. Gave one star because it wouldnt let me give zero. Get the wpxi app, much better!

I want to read the report but cant any longer as all stories open to a video with dialogue section smashed below video. If I want to see a video report Ill click the video section.
